The conference series Media Production was initially organized by the Joint Competence Center “Information Society” of the Alcatel-Lucent Foundation in Berlin under the academic supervision of Dr. Michael Herzog. In 2010, the event will be organized and presented by a network of science and media industry institutions in Berlin and Brandenburg, supported by the Technology Foundation Berlin.
The first event, Media Production 2006, was titled "The future of Integrated Content-Engineering", Media Production 2007 was concerned with the topic "Expansion and Mobility," and Media Production 2008 was discussing "Concepts, Content and Technologies for Online Learning Applications".
The conference proceedings for the series have been published in the form of the following books at the Gito-Verlag Berlin:
